The exterior brick was chemically cleaned removing many layers of black paint and soot. In addition, exterior balconies were installed to replace an out of character fire escape which was installed when the original apartments were cut into additional units.

The restoration of the storefront involved design and milling of doors, panels and fenestration. The building was finished by a donation of trees for the parkway, in coordination with the alderman’s office. Inside the building, the woodwork was restored, hardware was re-polished and period tile was reinstalled in the bathrooms.
